Joshua's Modeling Career

We just discovered this beautiful print, Committent, by artist Julie LeFevre of Utah. Julie was a friend of Joshua's back in his BYU days who began painting this picture using Joshua, his brother Justin, and his roommate Bob, as models. It depicts Christ in Gethsemane with the angel, the moment of committment before the atonement. Can you see Joshua in this rendition?

This picutre is a few years earlier. Joshua was about 21 or 22 at the time. It's Brian Durfee's rendition of Galahad and the Holy Grail. Posing with roommates Bob Craghead and Brent Nielsen. Supposedly this is hanging in a church down in Alabama.

Um, not really, sorry. But I like the picture anyway. Does U-AH get a discount because he was a model posing for it?

Since Joshua has the mountain man thing going on with his face, I'm guessing it was Christ he modeled for? But he used to be clean shaven... hmm... which one was he?

Very beautiful picture though!

Love the picture. Is it for sale anywhere? I'd love a print of it.

The painting took about 12-15 years to complete but as far as we can figure out, from the nose up, Christ's face is patterned after my roommate Bob. The beard, mouth, and ears, and a little of the long hair is mine. My brother Justin posed with me for some of the sessions as the angel, but there were probably others since it doesn't look like him very much.
